Coronation concert announced

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla, takes place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday May 6. To mark this historic occasion, the Household Cavalry Band and Aylesbury Concert Band present: A Celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III, an unforgettable and spectacular musical celebration to be held on the July 12 at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
The concert, which is in partnership with SSAFA and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, will reflect on key historical events in the King’s life.
With a stunning finale, which has been specially composed for the occasion, and featuring the fanfare trumpeters from the Band of the Household Cavalry, the evening will feature exclusive and rousing performances from the Band of the Household Cavalry and the Aylesbury Concert Band.
All ticket sales will support the military charities, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
Lieutenant General Sir Andrew Gregory, the Controller of SSAFA, said: “These funds will help SSAFA continue its life-changing and sometimes life-saving work, just as it has done for nearly 140 years.
“Support – including the gracious patronage of SSAFA of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for 70 years – from the Royal Family means an immense amount to me, to our volunteers, and our beneficiaries within with the Armed Forces family. In turn, it demonstrates the Royal Family’s commitment to our Armed Forces, past, present, and future.
